ACM Journal on Computing and Cultural Heritage (JOCCH) publishes papers of significant and lasting value in all areas relating to the use of ICT in support of Cultural Heritage, including (but not limited to) the following areas: On-site and remotely sensed data collection Metadata, classification schema, ontologies and semantic processing Analytic tools to assist research on collections or artefacts Digital artefact capture, representation and manipulation ICT assistance in monitoring and restoration Intelligent tools for digital reconstruction Long term preservation of digital artefacts Provenance, copyright and IPR Story-telling and other forms of communication Digital capture and annotation of intangible heritage (performance, audio, dance, oral heritage) ICT technologies in support of creating new cultural experiences or digital artefacts Augmentation of physical collections with digital presentations Applications (e.g. in Education and Tourism) JOCCH seeks to combine the best of computing science with real attention to any aspect of the cultural heritage sector.
