dc.description.abstractThe railway system, as a national infrastructure, requires scientific and systematic maintenance to ensure reliability due to its high initial acquisition costs and the long-term operation period of 20-30 years. To improve the efficiency of railway operations and provide high-quality services, it is necessary to predict the Life Cycle Cost (LCC) of the railway system and seek ways to reduce it based on these predictions. In this study, an LCC estimation modeling was performed considering the actual operating conditions of EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) railway vehicles. A Product Breakdown Structure (PBS) analysis of EMU railway vehicles was conducted, and a Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) was derived considering the field operating conditions. To improve and supplement the reliable LCC estimation model, a list of key data required for the analysis was derived. The LCC estimation model proposed in this study is expected to contribute as foundational data for systematic maintenance of EMU railway vehicles.-
