Uzbekistan's Accession to WTO and its Effects on Agriculture and the Mining Industry

Abstract

This research will review one of the important issues of young and developing country - Uzbekistan. For the country which has long history of agriculture and mining sectors development, WTO accession is considered to be one big step towards economic development, better consumer welfare, free market, new channels of international trade. As WTO accession process has not been easy process for any country, adaptation and overcoming different challenges after the WTO accession is another matter and the high level of risk management and policy making process is needed to deal with the challenges specially in important sectors of Uzbekistan such as agriculture and mining sectors._x000D_ <br>So, the goal of this research is to evaluate the effects on the agriculture and mining industries after Uzbekistan’s WTO accession and general economic patterns of the country will be discussed as well. Case based analytical research method will be used by learning the data of Kazakhstan’s WTO accession in 2015 and its effects on the country’s economy, after the WTO accession. _x000D_ <br>At the end of this research, some recommendations will be given.
