| dc.description.abstract | This paper, titled "From Clicks to Protests: A Case Study of Social Media’s Impact on Digital Activism in the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict with a Focus on the Diaspora's Role," takes a general perspective on social media's centrality but narrows it down to the precise role it plays in the mobilization of diasporas and the narrative surrounding the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict._x000D_
_x000D_
The paper, through systematic qualitative and contextual analysis, addresses three core research questions: how social media enables mobilization in the Armenian and Azerbaijani diaspora, how information diffusion on these platforms shades the opinion, perspective, and activism of diasporas, and the challenges and new opportunities in the creation of such narratives within this conflict. It is against this backdrop that the present paper discovers how digital platforms are used to have the diaspora communities as very significant actors not only at the very stage of conflict resolution but also of activism. The paper talks about the geopolitical occasions, policy adjustments, and major happenings that have affected online activism, thus giving an understanding of how the use of social media and the diaspora in activism interplay._x000D_
_x000D_
The findings showed that social media enormously facilitated mobilization within Armenian and Azerbaijani diasporas, shaped the opinion formation of the diaspora, and involvement in activism, at the same time creating both opportunities and challenges while formulating a conflict narrative._x000D_
_x000D_
KEYWORDS: Social Media's Impact on Digital Activism, Diaspora's Role, Online Mobilization, Digital Activism | - |
