This thesis analyses the exchange rate system of Nepal with an emphasis on Nepal’s trade. It explores the existing fixed exchange rate system and the pros and cons of it. Nepal has been facing trade deficit from history till date and the government has tried different policies but all of them failed to correct it. This study identifies the exchange rate change (currency devaluation) as the best solution to the problem.
