Alternative Abstract
In this study, the RCM(Reliability Centered Maintenance) decision logic for quantitative effectiveness evaluation of individual maintenance types in weapon systems is developed. To make a quantitative maintenance policy through RCM, the existing maintenance policy decision in korean weapon system is considered and the modification of the traditional RCM to improve it is studied. Then, cost, availability, applicability were found as core decision parameters and how to quantify all of them into cost measure is presented. A RCM effectiveness evaluation factor integrated with the quantified results of each RCM core parameters for maintenance types is presented and the logic to decide a suitable maintenance type is developed. In case study, RCM effectiveness factor is evaluated for a specific turbine engine with statistical simulation tool as AvSim+ and the meaning of results and suitable maintenance type are considered. Quantitative maintenance policy based on RCM in this study is expected as worthwhile in deriving objective and rational maintenance type for effective operation of weapon systems.
