This study aims to contribute to the improvement of the poor public transportation system in the early stages of a third new city by analyzing how much demand is derived when DRT is introduced in the early stages of the third new city. To this end, the land use of the second new city was largely classified into four categories, and a homogeneous third new city was found that matched the traffic patterns for all categories. Also, the pattern was applied to a similar type of third new city to estimate traffic pattern by land use of third new cities In addition, based on the applied results, zones were subdivided, arbitrary virtual stops were placed, and DRT demand was estimated after establishing an optimal route through virtual stops according to the detour rate.
