Bangladesh is one of the mostly populated countries in the world that has not exceled in industrialization yet. Along with many other problems, it is facing a great difficulty to face with unemployment. As there is scarcity of jobs, to get an expected job in Bangladesh job market is not that much easy. Among many other factors which affect the job market of Bangladesh, English Efficiency is one of them. This research has dealt with the factors that influence the job market and furthermore it examines the people’s motive towards English related skills which affect the job market. Troughout the research we have seen different irgularities with the role English language as seccond language/official language/corporate language in the country. The main conclusion reached in this research work is that in spite of having other capabilities just because of the lack of English efficiency many people suffer in their respective sector and many of the interviewers fail to convince the employers. This research has recommended for finding out fruitful policy developing for English related skills throughout the education period of the students or staff. Thus there would be a chance of creating a win-win situations for the employers and employees. English gives us easy access to the ever-expanding knowledge of science and technology, arts and education, innovations and discoveries as all the works - books, journals, reports, research-findings - are available in English. English as the language of information technology has, in fact, made the whole world a global village. English for occupational/ professional purposes can help find jobs in other countries. But unfortunately the standard of English in Bangladesh is deplorable. Students who are applying for jobs could not get a better job in the corporate world because of their inefficiency in English, although it is taught from the very beginning of their education.
