Alternative Abstract
ABSRTRACT The main objective of my thesis will focus on the production of rice in Cameroon and the adaptability to change in climate. Cameroon faces some enormous agricultural problems nowadays due to climate change. Problems such as excess drought due to global warming, poor harvest, lack of good quality seeds, small scaled farming, inefficient post-harvest technologies, a well structured market for finished produced and the passive nature of the government. It has registered low yield in crop productions due to excess dryness and at times poor soil fertility. The planting season in Cameroon has shifted and the rains have become unpredictable. The reason of this paper is to portray how effective the research can remedy the situation leading to food sustainability and economic growth. This will be examined through a critical assessment of the different stages put together by the government, private sectors, and the role of international bodies on this. Keywords: Eco-agriculture, Business adaptation, Rice Production, Climate Change, Biotechnology, Cameroon.
